PS3 pricing in inflation-adjusted historical terms

Curmudgeon Gamer shows a History of Console Prices, trying to show that in inflation adjusted terms, PS3 isn’t going to be so expensive.

But the price comparison between it and the XBox360, wow. And the XBox ain’t cheap either. I can buy a PC for that kind of money.

Of course you can buy a PC for that kind of price (though historically the XBoxen have been a reasonable spec, subsidised by the software). But most people don’t want a PC in their livingroom.

Well, I can assure you I don’t want an XBox in my livingroom. Well, a games machine of any kind, really. All that noise and screaming! That should be kept to the study.
