Releases and recalls

Another major release of iTunes, another batch of complaints about glitches and poor performance. I’ll wait for an x.02 or x.03 release.

Mind you it could be worse… a recall of Segways cites random reversing. At least if iTunes skips a track you’re not risking your life.

    Interesting, thanks Lachlan. Gapless playback is a major gripe of mine – there seem to be so many modern players that don’t do it properly.

    I abandoned iTunes many generations ago because when I added new music it would crash or simply refuse to save the new library.

    I now use Winamp with MLIPOD support (not the builtin support) and have never been happier. I don’t intend to buy music through the iTune Store, so I don’t think I am missing anything at all…
