10 Things You Might Not Know About Google.

1. Google query syntax underwent some subtle changes over the years.

Yeah, I noticed that. All of a sudden you could negate terms (this and not that). The ten word limit was never a big one for me

5. Google has 16 official blogs.

If only I cared.

7. Google stopped counting their index size.

Hmmmm…. I think they didn’t, but did shut up about it. That the web got that big was scaring some people.

9. Google comic book search.

Oh, please.

10. Google Writely is a multi-user chat.

Collaborative word processor? That’s uber cool.

So far I’ve found the unofficial Google blogs much more interesting than the official ones… especially the main Google Blog, which might as well be a media release feed, it’s so sterile.

  2. Writely is very cool… I was a fan, even before we bought them. Have you got an account? Would you like one?

Thanks for the Writely account, Michael. Here’s what Daniel and I thought of it. Not bad, I think we could find a place for it in our work here.
