Colour
A bunch of new PCs arrived at work. It would seem that in Wintel personal computer colours, black is the new beige.

Yep - our Dells at work have been black for some time, as is my wife’s Dell.

And the fact that colours go “out of fashion” is kind of annoying. Many years ago, I bought (in the space of a few weeks) a sound system, a TV and a VCR. They were all black. Years later, I replaced the TV: the new one was silver, as I couldn’t find a black one; and I tried! The DVD player is silver as well, even though there are a few black models. But have you tried finding a “desktop” sound system in black lately?

Maybe we need ’skins’ for electrical goods like we have on iPods etc.
